After launching their Polygon-based loyalty program in December 2022, Starbucks Korea have announced that they will begin issuing NFTs on Polygon in January 2024, as part of their push to encourage customers to use reusable cups.
Customers can collect ‘eco stamps’ by purchasing qualifying drinks, which can be exchanged for limited-edition NFTs.

These limited edition Starbucks NFTs were developed in collaboration with South Korean art platform Print Bakery and renowned NFT artist DADAZ.
In addition to their release, Starbucks will hold an in-store exhibition at their Starbucks Reserve location in Jongno-gu, Seoul, to showcase the NFTs and highlight their sustainability progress to date.
Free drink coupons are already being offered to Starbucks Korea customers who purchase a reusable cup. These will be rebranded as ‘Eco Tumbler Beverage Coupons’ in parallel with the NFT rewards as part of their wider green campaign.
