A follow-up to London Fashion Week

The Art of Explorers campaign expands from “The Art of Genius” show, which first debuted at London Fashion Week in February. A team of artists from various fields ranging from costume and sculpt design to makeup artists embraced the task of creating avatar-inspired figures with human-like features for the two fashion powerhouses.

The talent behind the campaign included the sculptures Ibby Njoya, Gary Card and Kate Tabor, with the clothing created by Ai Kamoshita and makeup and accessories by Isamaya Ffrench. Photographer Hanna Moon brought the collection to life, giving event attendees a glimpse into what’s to come from Adidas x Moncler’s exciting new, forward-thinking venture.

The collection put long and short puffers, track jackets, cardigans and striking shoes in the spotlight. A mix of vibrant colors with a traffic light theme brings the fashion clothing to life, with more subtle clothing in concrete grey, sky blue, off-white and organic dark green also part of the mix.

“I was inspired by the collection itself, but I wanted to bring myself into the picture. I really liked the way the puffer fish’s neck was very prominent and almost looked like rings to me. I have always been fascinated by the copper neck rings of the Ndebele tribe and the Kayan tribe, how by elongating the neck, so much importance can be given to the head itself,” said Njoya in the Adidas blog post.

Adidas already has an existing company, especially in the field of Web3 NFT art residency program, BAPE phygital collectibles and more. Moncler’s blockchain-based stance, on the other hand, involves gifting NFTs to platinum buyers of Moncler Maya 70 jackets.
