Astar Network invites projects to join the radical NFT campaign

Ahead of the release of their Polygon-powered zkEVM, Astar Network, a leading force in Japan’s web3 ecosystem, is calling on innovative projects, artists and companies to expand their reach by participating in their inventive NFT campaign.

Users of the Astar zkEVM will explore onboard projects – ranging from top Web3 applications to enterprises and popular artists – by completing a variety of on-chain and off-chain quests, leading to exclusive NFT rewards upon completion: a win-win for both the projects and the community.

Applications are open now, ahead of the first quarter 2024 launch.

Unlocking a world of possibilities

Scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2024, the Astar zkEVM mainnet will be celebrated with an immersive campaign inviting users to explore the Astar zkEVM ecosystem. Participants can take part in a variety of on-chain and off-chain quests, earning exclusive NFTs created by Astar Network and participating projects. The range of projects includes enterprises, renowned IP artists and top web3 applications.

Inspired by Japanese capsule machines, the campaign introduces virtual versions individually tailored to each project. Users can interact with these virtual machines on the dedicated campaign website to mint and collect limited NFTs. The experience is enhanced by an engaging storyline inspired by Japanese folklore, featuring a collection of Japanese-inspired characters that users can ‘upgrade’ by completing campaign-related tasks.

Why should Web3 projects participate in the campaign?

As pioneers in the use of the Polygon CDK (Chain Development Kit) and the largest parachain (in terms of market cap) in the Polkadot ecosystem, Astar has built a dedicated multichain user base, working closely with communities around the world to to further expand their reach. With a user interface that makes accessing digital assets easy, they want to reach a global audience – not just web3 natives.

This campaign offers the projects involved the opportunity to reach this global audience of both new and current web3 users, and serves as a gateway to the Japanese web3 market. Astar consults with government agencies as well as works with Japanese companies that are increasingly looking to web3, and will take every opportunity to explore opportunities in Japan with participating projects.

Maarten Henskens, head of the Astar Foundation, said:

“We are excited to share the launch of Astar zkEVM with Polygon Labs in the first quarter of next year. It’s the solution our business partners need to build seamlessly on Ethereum. More than 320 organizations have joined Astar and are prepared for the next wave of web3 development in Asia in 2024. We are now opening doors globally to invite projects, artists and companies who have yet to explore web3 to get in touch and join Astar zkEVM with this builder-friendly campaign.”
