Recombining fashion and crypto art, Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) stylishly collaborates with pioneering Japanese streetwear brand A Bathing Ape (BAPE), to premiere the highly anticipated streetwear clothing line at Hong Kong ApeFest, running from November 3 to 5.

By expanding the offering of these fashion favorites, lucky BAYC NFT owners can access the apparel through a secure, token-protected gateway. Additionally, the garments will become accessible to collectors of Bapetaverse NFTs starting in December before the general public can take a look through BAPE’s physical and virtual stores.

BAYC’s reputation in the fashion world

BAYC, with a trading volume that brings in almost $3 billion, is no stranger to the fashion world. In September 2021, Adidas purchased BAYC #8774 for $156,000. The sportswear giant then dressed the item up in its branded apparel in December 2021, dubbing it “Indigo Herz” for its marketing impact in the Metaverse and physical retail world.

In April 2023, Adidas released the NFT collection ‘Indigo Herz Pack’ in light of the NFT character, giving collectors of the coveted possessions Superstar shoes and hoodies featuring the celebrated Ape through the ‘Into the Metaverse’ project. However, the most recent BAYC x Adidas collection is ‘Three Stripes Studio’ – a clothing line that involves numerous other NFT brands, including Punk Comics, G-Money and DeadFellaz. Such garments are available as virtual and tangible prizes in the Adidas Metaverse.

BAYC’s fashion policy does not stop there. The luxury fashion house, Gucci, collaborated with BAYC in March 2023 to explore new possibilities in the Web3 field. Just a week after the collaboration was announced, Gucci unveiled 3,333 ‘Otherside: Relics by Gucci’ NFTs, allowing BAYC Otherside Metaverse members to redeem physical Gucci-crafted Koda pendants attached to silver chains for $1,917 ($450 APE) per piece.

Celebrated rappers Snoop Dogg and Eminem have also used their own Bored Ape collectibles to appear on official merchandise and spin-off efforts via IP commercialization rights. Particularly others celebrities who own BAYC NFTs Including Paris Hilton, Neymar and Justin Bieber.

The brand leaves its mark in every endeavor. With the BAPE x BAYC streetwear line in the spotlight, BAYC reaffirms its position as a leading force at the intersection of fashion, art and blockchain technology.
