Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano [ADA]has emerged to address a recent controversy surrounding Nami, a wallet acquired by the Protocol.

Amid speculation and uncertainty, Hoskinson revealed a surprising revelation about Nami’s functionality.

Digging deeper, Hoskinson shed light on the complex issue facing Nami’s implementation of ADAHandles, promising insights into Cardano’s strategic solutions.

He noted,

“I just found out about Nami. We have assembled a weekend team to investigate an issue with Nami’s implementation of ADAHandles.”

The underlying problem

In an effort to provide clarity, Hoskinson illustrated a scenario in which a user inputs, perhaps from $NFT to $NFTs, only to encounter a delay in updating the destination to $NFTs.

“The only issue identified is a delay in retrieving ADAHandles, where if users type handles, i.e. “$NFT” and then “$NFTs”, there is a delay in updating the destination from $NFT to $NFTs.”

Furthermore, this delay in updating the destination poses a significant challenge to the usability of the wallet.

To address this problem, Hoskinson revealed that ADAHandles have been temporarily disabled while the team races to develop and test a solution.

“The disable code has been written and pushed to Google and we are waiting for their approval, which usually takes 1-2 hours.”

What is the solution?

Amid these challenges, Cardano’s Lace Light Wallet remained unaffected, reassuring users amid the unrest in Nami.

Hoskinson empathized with the frustrations of affected users and recognized the importance of a seamless user experience.

Despite the obstacles Nami faced, Cardano’s commitment to improving the user experience remained steadfast.
