Powered by the timely success of his previous free batch of G-SHOCK items, Casio will release another exclusive collection of G-SHOCK NFTs on December 15 – everyone is eligible via a G-SHOCK CREATOR PASS at gshock.casio.com.
The celebrated watchmaker will unveil 2,000 VIRTUAL G-SHOCK NFTs with two new distinct styles: the VGA-001, which represents a bold, vibrant balloon-themed G-SHOCK, and the VGA-002, which spotlights a futuristic leaf spring. -oriented shock absorption system.
Both versions are inspired by Casio’s previous shock-resistant designs, but in a more progressive digital environment than ever before. After all, the main goal of “VIRTUAL G-SHOCK” is to engage new audiences among Generation Z through enticing virtual interactions.
The buzz behind G-SHOCK NFTs
Casio’s first venture into the NFT world began in September 2023, with the launch of 15,000 G-SHOCK NFTs, which were quickly picked up for free in just six hours. Part of the reason behind the project’s popularity is that G-SHOCK holders can access an exciting online community on Discord, where everyone is welcome to discover new digital experiences and interactions.
All holders of a G-SHOCK CREATOR PASS, which offers free membership privileges, can gain access to a VIRTUAL G-SHOCK NFT and special projects. A large part of the G-SHOCK initiative is awarded through possession of a CREATOR PASS. However, the NFTs offer even richer experiences, such as opening collaboration opportunities regarding future designs and participating in esports experiences that are about to launch in October 2023.
