Chainlink recently rose to more than 16% from its previous seven-day high. As of 1:40 PM EST on October 22, the token had a spot price of $9.5, according to statistics from CoinMarketCap. Looking at TradingView’s 4-hour LINK/USD charts, the 25-day moving average has crossed the 50-day moving average and formed a golden cross. This indicates bull dominance on Chainlink, as the asset’s 24-hour gain is 4%.
The Bollinger bands are moving far apart, indicating high volatility in the Chainlink price. This is also reflected in trading volume, which has increased by 32% in the last 24 hours. The RSI is also in overbought territory and showing bull dominance on Chainlink.
The MACD is also moving into the green zone. This is another indication of quite a bit of bull activity on Chainlink.
The new Chainlink Staking v0.2
However, this increase can be attributed to Chainlink’s release of Chainlink Staking v0.2. Following the success of the previous version, which filled the pool in just three hours, the upgraded v0.2 will accommodate as many as 45 million LINK tokens. The new version features a flexible disconnect mechanism, strengthened security measures through deployment slicing and a modular architecture for seamless future upgrades.

The Priority Migration phase gives stakers v0.1 exclusive access to transfer their stakes and accrued LINK rewards to the upgraded system. Then, the Early Access Phase will allow eligible community holders to stake up to 15,000 LINK, followed by the General Access Phase for all interested participants, provided pool capacity remains available.
