The latest Imperial Decree brings big news to the lands of Massina! The first is Emperor’s Day, an upcoming celebration with a special tournament. The second is an official alpha release, scheduled for late November. And of course there are even more nice details!
Occasionally the Emperor of Massina issues announcements and proclamations in the form of official decrees. The latest brings news about upcoming events and game updates!
To begin with, on November 8, 2023, we will celebrate a celebration known as Emperor’s Day. On that day, anyone who owns Prime Eternals or Elemental Eternals will receive an additional experience bonus when claiming their daily login rewards. Also, the daily experience points awarded will be increased in the future from current levels.
But the biggest news comes from the arena. Players can now use their own unique champions in arena battles!
And in keeping with this new change in the arena, we will be holding a special tournament on Emperor’s Day. Tournament times are at 12:00 PM EST and 6:00 PM EST. It is open to everyone (maximum 128 fighters), no entrance fee is required. There will be two divisions: Beginner for those with the Gold ranking and below, and Advanced for the Platinum ranking and above. Everyone who participates in the tournament and plays will receive a Lootbox. Other Lootboxes will be handed out to the top players, with the winners of the tournaments earning Prime and Elemental Eternals.
Alpha edition
Champions Ascension is officially in a pre-alpha state. But that will change on November 22 with an alpha release! However, the team is quick to point out that this isn’t a full alpha, but rather an important milestone in their game development.
To encourage players to participate, all Alpha participants in the Alpha will also receive special gifts of gold, tickets, and a taunt emote.
So what’s new in the alpha? Glad you asked! For starters, there will be a lengthy player mission. Players will create a new character to progress in the quest, explore the world of Massina and level up. Along the way, players may discover that their avatars possess other powers!
Champions can also level up with Essence earned during arena battles in Alpha. This provides statistical bonuses and perhaps even new skills. Champions who reach the maximum level can even level up and go to the next level of champion!
The Imperial Decree also mentions the first implementation of the core economy. We know that some of the available currencies (Gold, Chrono XP, Raw Essence, and Essence Crystals) will be used to level up Champions, but there are few details on what other types of economic features we’ll get in this first alpha release shall see.
