Despite the value of the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs continuing to fall, it is moving full steam ahead for arguably its greatest ambassador. This week, the unyielding Snoop Dogg teamed up with shoe company Sketchers to create his Dr. Bombay NFT monkey to a brand new range of sneakers.
Thanks to the epic collaboration, Snoop fans will be able to get their own spruced up version of Sketchers’ Uno sneaker. As a result, those who take the plunge will unlock a number of exclusive features including laces and leopard print insole, the Dr. Bombay logo on the heel and Snoop’s Web3 persona graphic on the side.
People who want to get in on the action can find the stylish kicks on the Sketchers website in black or white for $100 a pair!
Dr. Bombay takes NFT branding to new heights
This isn’t the first time Dr. Bombay lends its image to a Snoop Dogg-approved range of products. In July, the savvy businessman launched a selection of Dr. Bombay, which was on the shelves of 3,500 Walmart stores in the US. While a little over a year ago, the BAYC character unveiled an exciting dessert parlor in the heart of Los Angeles.
In addition, the busy monkey was, to the Dr. Increasing Bombay mysticism even further, also seen at the Video Music Awards in August 2022 and even in several music videos.
So while the Bored Ape collection falters, Dr. Bombay on its way anyway!
