Reports have emerged that e-commerce titan eBay has cut its workforce at KnownOrigin, an Ethereum-based NFT exchange. took over the reins in June 2022.
The staff cuts include 30% of positions, including strategy and business leader Stefanie Jay, who began her eBay stint in May 2021, and David Moore, one of the marketplace’s founders.
In an internal message that subsequently became public, Moore characterized the workforce reductions as “severe” and that “witnessing that number of layoffs within the team was brutal.”
As of the report’s publication, eBay has yet to formally comment on these personnel changes.
