On August 9, Degods caused a stir in the community by revealing not one, but three highly anticipated updates that were eagerly awaited by both Degods and y00ts platforms. These announcements mark a new chapter for the ecosystem. This includes an art update, a new points system and the migration from y00ts to Ethereum.

First and foremost is an exciting artistic update that promises to breathe new life into the project with the aim of making the “most elegant PFP possible.”

In addition to cleaning up properties to be simpler, the artists also simplified the backgrounds and added female DeGods. However, this is not a new collection – those who want to preserve the old art can do so.

There is no dilution of the collection, only 20,000 additional works of art added to the metadata of the original collection. Please note that it will cost holders 333 $ DUST to upgrade their PFP.

y00ts announces bridge to Ethereum

Degods also revealed its strategic decision to migrate y00ts to the Ethereum blockchain. This comes after y00ts accepted a $3 million grant from Polygon in January and bridged into early 2023. The migration date to Ethereum has not yet been announced. This decision has sparked a lot of backlash and speculation, with some community members who believe that “the tech Polygon” promised is not here.

Introduction of ‘Points Salon’

Adding another layer of intrigue, Degods introduced a new points system, Points Parlor, which promises to revolutionize the way users are rewarded on NFT projects. The $DUST collected from the Season III Art Update will be used towards the Points Parlor prize pool. Prizes will be awarded to holders who wager their DeGods/y00ts NFTs and reward loyalty. More details will be announced.
