FIFA, the international governing body for football associations, has announced that there will be an NFT drop Collect FIFA+ platform on December 15, with 100 collectibles on Algorand offering holders the chance to get tickets to the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final.
This will be complemented by the sale of a further 900 collectibles on Polygon, giving buyers the opportunity to obtain match-used items from the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup and FIFA-related VIP experiences, available via OpenSea on December 19.
These drops mark FIFA’s first with blockchain solutions partner Modex, with the latest being their first drop on Polygon.

In a statement, FIFA’s Chief Business Officer, Romy Gai, said: “We are excited to embark on this transformative journey with Modex and take the FIFA+ Collect platform to new heights. Since its launch, the platform has been immensely popular worldwide and fans from all countries now have the chance to own a piece of football history.
“These new launches, both this year and beyond, will provide football fans with a unique and innovative way to connect with the sport, while also contributing to the growth of the digital collectibles market.”
Modex CEO Francesco Abbate added: “Digital collectibles expand the ways fans can interact with their favorite players, teams and the game they love, and we are honored to support FIFA in realizing this goal. This is the first step in a journey to further involve fans in FIFA competitions and initiatives.”

How can I participate in the Drops?
The first sale of 100 collectibles minted on Algorand, offering the opportunity to score tickets to the 2026 FIFA World Cup Finals, will take place on the FIFA+ Collect platform on December 15 at 12 EST.
The next sale of 900 collectibles minted on Polygon will be made available through OpenSea on December 19, with further details to be announced.
