Heroes of Mavia plans MAVIA Token Airdrop

User Avatar

Another symbolic airdrop is coming soon when Heroes of Mavia releases the first information about their Pioneer program. This program will be part of the initial release of the MAVIA token, with approximately 7.5 million allocated for airdrop participants!

Tokens, tokens, tokens! Tokens seem to be the hot commodity in web3 gaming at the moment, with a number of token releases and airdrops in the works. Heroes of Mavia is getting in on the action, announcing their ‘Pioneer Program’, which will reward landowners and players in season one with an airdrop of MAVIA tokens.

The Heroes of Mavia Pioneer program runs in different phases or seasons. The first season is only open to those who staked land in seasons 2, 3, or 4, and those who own land NFTs. Rarer countries receive larger payouts. Players can control Mavia.com to see if they qualify for the airdrop. (Note: estimated rewards for simply holding land NFTs will only be shown closer to the token launch).

All airdrop tokens must be claimed within 14 days of the TGE or Token Generation event. Any tokens not claimed after this period will be returned to the treasury. The date for the token launch has not yet been announced.

If you would like to participate in this first round of airdrops for the Mavia token, communal plots are available on the open sea for about 1 ETH.

For those of us without Mavia-land NFTs, Season 2 and beyond of the Pioneer program offers players the opportunity to complete quests and earn points towards future airdrops. Mavia also plans to partner with exchanges to offer airdrops for their users as well.

What is Heroes of Mavia?

Heroes of Mavia is a free-to-play, mobile, base-building RTS game built on the Ethereum blockchain. Players build and improve bases, and battle other players to earn RUBY, the game’s main currency. The game features upgradeable NFTs in the form of Bases, Heroes and Statues. Bases are the core part of the game and every player needs one to play. Heroes and statues are optional, but both offer significant benefits to your team. Heroes help your army with attack and defense, while Statues boost base production. Additionally, players can upgrade their NFTs by spending RUBY tokens.

The game also features gold and oil resources. These are in-game only and are used for certain basic upgrades. These resources are produced by bases and can be stolen from other players during raids. There will be some sort of MMR/power rating system to try and keep players on par with other players of equal strength.

Heroes of Mavia plans to incorporate rental mechanics into their game from the start. Base owners can choose to rent out their base to other players for passive income. This could be a fixed price rental system or a ‘partnership’. Partnerships function as a built-in grant system. The base owner lets the partner run and upgrade their base in exchange for a percentage of the RUBY income.

Hereos of Mavia is currently working towards a beta release in 2024.
