Illuvium sets the stage for beta 4 testing

User Avatar

As the Illuvium universe prepares to unfold, this highly anticipated blockchain gaming series has announced its Beta 4 testing schedule, starting with Private Beta 4 on April 30, 2024. The launch will include a pre-registration campaign and the introduction of the rewarding ‘Play-2-Airdrop incentives aimed at refining gameplay ahead of official launch.

Starting with Private Beta 4

Private Beta 4, scheduled from April 30 to May 28, 2024, represents an important phase in Illuvium’s development. This period offers fewer than 10,000 selected players – the “lucky rangers” – their first glimpse of the full run of the game on Testnet. These players, chosen from Illuvium’s active community and through marketing efforts, will test key features such as passport integration, asset minting, Illuvidex trading, fuel purchasing and travel mechanics.

Player feedback will be invaluable, in hopes of resolving key issues and ensuring a polished transition into the Open Beta Testnet phase. Illuvium rewards participants with the first Airdrop points as a token of appreciation.

According to Illuvium, players who would like to join the private Testnet and earn Airdrop Points must pre-register by April 15, 2024. This will give them an exclusive chance to play before the Open Testnet phase begins.

Transition to Open Beta Testnet

After Private Beta 4, the Open Beta Testnet phase will begin on May 28, 2024. All players will be welcomed via the Epic Games launcher for a testing period expected to last 2-4 weeks. This phase is crucial for final adjustments before the public launch, and participants are also eligible for Airdrop Points. 10% of the Play-2-Airdrop $ILV pool will be allocated for these Testnet phases, with the initial Airdrop payout capping this period.

The transition to the Open Beta Mainnet will culminate in rigorous stress testing and system evaluations. By allocating the remaining 90% of the Play-2-Airdrop $ILV pool for this phase, Illuvium aims to continue improving all four games post-launch and introducing new features to enrich the player experience.

Play for Airdrop: a rewarding experience

Earning airdrop points is simple: the more you play, the more points you collect across all three games, priming players to share in the $ILV bounty for six months. An upcoming dashboard will allow participants to track their accumulated points, simplifying the process as the open beta approaches.

With a recent $12 million Series A funding, Illuvium Labs aims to bring the interconnected Illuvium Arena, Illuvium Overworld and Illuvium Zero games to life. Built on the Ethereum ecosystem and utilizing the Immutable X network, these titles promise a new era of interoperable blockchain gaming.
