Last two weeks of Eseed Alpha

User Avatar

Although the Eseed alpha is coming to an end soon, the development team continues to deliver new updates to their players regularly over the past few weeks. These not only include bug fixes and quality of life improvements, but also introduce new battle plants and even new companions!

Only two weeks left to participate in the Eseed Alpha! The alpha closes on October 3. Then the game is paused for a while while the team prepares for the next phase.

For those who love rewards, a new Season Pass has just opened. This pass lasts up to level 50, with rewards such as Glint, bonuses and cards. The unique reward for this alpha season comes at level 31 in the form of a special Season of Stars Diddit. Diddits are soul-bound NFTs that Eseed uses to track community participation. A kind of badge that shows you were there. Diddits could also potentially lead to some rewards in the future.

Recent updates

There have been a number of changes and additions to the Eseed alpha over the past month. We have a new Companion, the Electro Gecko. The gecko attacks all enemies in a line with lightning damage, which also spreads via power and debris tiles. The gecko’s special ability causes the lighting to hit random enemies. This brings our Companion options to six.

New combat plants include the Ghostberry, whose attacks scare the enemy, causing them to run away for a short time, and the SpringFruit, a plant with a long attack range but a very slow attack speed.

We also have improvements in the form of freshly picked fruits, seasonal vegetables and blooming flowers. These provide various bonuses for companions and battle plants and are found by earning wealth and advancing through the ranks.

In terms of gameplay, level 1 adventures no longer require a map. Only level 2 and 3 adventures require cards, which players can receive for free (one of each per day) from the in-game store, or purchase using Glint, the in-game currency.

What is Everseed?

Eseed is a game about exploring the world and fighting the Blight. Players will encounter encounters as they wander, leading to a tower defense style match where the player uses battle plants they possess as defense against creatures from the Blight!

Eseed offers a little more strategy than most tower defense games. The ghouls have no set paths that they follow. Instead, they will take the shortest route to your base. Players have a semi-open choice about where they place their plants (towers), although some terrains cannot be built on and the terrain must also be cleared of Blight first. But this more open building concept allows players to create their own custom ominous gauntlet for the crawl waves!

Players can spend a limited amount of energy each round. So choosing between adding new plants, revealing hidden terrain, and watering (levelling up plants) requires some thought and planning. And because watering is an area where you can make an impact, it can also be important to find ways to group your plants for maximum efficiency. Plants can also level up as the round progresses, granting new abilities or stat boosts.

Players also choose a Companion to aid them in battle. Companions can move freely before the round starts, block crawl paths, and each have their own unique attack and special abilities.
