MegaWorld recently started their Express Delivery alpha and they are already implementing new features to make the experience more engaging. The first of these begins on October 5 when MegaWorld introduces Citizen Traits, and also opens a sale for Courier Citizens that specialize in faster moves!
The MegaWorld Express Delivery Alpha is still in closed beta, but the team continues to add new players regularly, including anyone who purchases an Express Alpha Pack during the upcoming sale!
The Express Alpha Pack sale is limited to 333 packs on each accessible blockchain (Ethereum, Tron and Binance Chain). The sale starts on October 5 at 6:00 PM UTC, and packs are only available through the MegaWorld store.
These packages include specialized Gen A Citizens, but also cars, including some Supercars! Alpha Courier Gen A Citizens can be assigned to work in a building or used as an Avatar. Each of these Gen A Citizens is guaranteed to have skills equivalent to a Top Manager, with Professional Level Citizens in every third package. Alpha Couriers also have an innate 25% boost to walking speed, and some have traits that give them a 50% or even 100% boost!
Additionally, each Express Alpha Pack contains a car, with every third pack containing a Supercar. And finally, each package also includes an Alpha Ticket that gives access to the Express Delivery alpha. These tickets are non-tradable and limited to one per wallet. However, each ticket contains ten invitations that you can hand out.
Pricing for Express Alpha Packs has not yet been announced.
Citizen qualities
Citizen Traits will also be assigned on October 5. These will be generated taking into account the citizen’s appearance and genome. In the future, players will have some control over the traits of citizens newly created through residential buildings. This includes some features that would otherwise not be available! But that’s later!
For now, new Citizens mainly receive random traits. Attributes may affect how that Citizen plays as Avatar in Express Delivery mode. Features include higher rewards, lower bus fares, extra time to complete deliveries and much more! You can read the full list in the Basic Properties Guide.
What is express delivery?
Express Delivery is a game mode within MegaWorld that consists of two basic parts: creating delivery orders and completing delivery orders. Owners of energy, manufacturing and industrial buildings can create delivery missions for players. The more quests completed for a building, the greater the production bonus – possibly as much as 75%! The building owner also sets a fee that he is willing to pay, in MEGA tokens. Players in the 3D world can look up available deliveries at any time using their phone, then choose to accept and complete as many as they want.
Deliveries involve traveling from one building to another. But some destinations may be in other districts, requiring players to use public transportation (which costs a small fee of MEGA tokens) to get there. While players also have the option of simply grabbing the nearest vehicle and driving away GTA style, you don’t even have to worry about being chased by the police!
For now, deliveries all have fixed rewards. But in a future update, the number of rewards awarded will vary depending on the time it took to complete the delivery.
This is also in line with the recent adjustment of buildings and rentals. Players can collect as many Mega as they want in the game by making deliveries. But if they want to withdraw that Mega to cash out, they must have residency by renting out a house or apartment.
