Mocaverse brings us a new series of quests for a game called Anichess, a chess-based puzzle game with a little magic thrown in! Participants in this early, limited release can earn gaming NFTs for Anichess and Realm Points for the Mocaverse!
The Mocaverse is growing a bit more as they add a new set of quests available to those with a Moca ID. Now Moca ID holders can earn Realm Points by trying out a new game called Anichess and completing a few missions along the way!
Anichess is free to play. Players can log into Anichess using their wallet (on the Polygon network) or through various social media logins. Once logged in, complete the tutorials and link your Moca ID to claim your Pawn of Water NFT. There are currently three missions available in the Mocaverse, and more will follow soon. You don’t need a Moca ID to play Anichess, but it can’t hurt!
For those new to the game, Anichess includes tutorials for beginners. These include an introduction to chess and information on how spells work in Anichess. Go to the Anichess website start!
What is Anichess?
Anichess is a web-based chess/puzzle game that also includes magic spells. Anichess, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, just launched their public, free-to-play mini-game.
Anichess offers users three daily puzzles, each a little harder than the last. Players earn points and rewards by completing the puzzles each day, and can earn additional points by completing the puzzles on the first try and not using any of the available hints. Players can also unlock a bonus puzzle by tying Orbs of Power in the ‘Gambit’. To unlock the daily bonus puzzle you need the Pawn of Water, the Knight of Fire and the Bishop of Storm. One locked, Orbs cannot be transferred. However, they can also be unlocked at any time. Binding all six Orbs in the Gambit unlocks the Power Ring, which has secret (and currently unavailable) powers.
Aside from the Orbs of Power existing as NFTs, it’s unclear how much interaction Anichess will have with the blockchain. Additional game modes, spells and other features will be added in future releases.

What is the Mocaverse?
