Restoring momentum after a five-year hiatus, Power Rangers and Funko have once again joined forces to unveil packs of innovative products, perfectly in line with the famed franchise’s 30th anniversary on August 28.
This combined venture modernizes the original Power Rangers, accompanied by a brand new arrival of Ranger Slayer from the comic series Tree! Studios. The Ranger Slayer was initially only available as a prize in the opening sequence of Funko’s NFT Digital Pop! series. Now these Digital Card packs show off intriguing new designs, giving NFT holders the chance to own a tangible version – regardless of previous controversies.
Once the drop begins, interested buyers can purchase 5 NFTs for $9.99 or 15 for $29.99. Given that Funko NFT drops tend to sell out quickly, enthusiasts should jump at the chance to purchase these digital and tangible products at 11am (PT) sharp.

A first for Power Ranger collectibles
The Power Rangers x Funko Series 2 revolves around the 1995 Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie and introduces original characters alongside never-before-seen suit designs.
Movie merchandise was scarce in the 90s, with numerous items being repainted and versions of contemporary MMPR products. Interestingly, in 2005, Bandai America debuted the movie’s very first figures — featuring the villain Ivan Ooze and movie suits — to celebrate the movie’s 20th anniversary. However, such items had not been officially introduced until now.
Debates over film rights and whether or not Hasbro had access to his designs dragged on for five years straight. Technically, the movie had never witnessed any ‘Lightning Collection’ releases. This disparity persisted regardless of other items from the movie such as Tenga Warriors, Ninjetti Figures, and Movie Morphers all being marketed. Nevertheless, Hasbro finally owns the rights to these quirky products.
While the full lineup of these NFT characters is not being revealed, glimpses of the tangible Pops! characters available for purchase from the packs include Ninjetti, Aisha, Kimberly, Billy and more, in addition to Ivan Ooze and Freddy Funko. The rarest gem for the pack is Dlucea, as it’s her first time appearing on collectibles. So grab your lucky chances and hope for the best!
