You can earn a free vehicle in MetalCore by pre-registering for the open beta, which is expected to launch later this year. In the meantime, the MetalCore team also plans to hold a 10-day playtest starting August 31, which also includes invites for everyone on the pre-registration list!
MetalCore is accepting pre-registrations for their open beta, scheduled for later this year. This registration is open to everyone, just give them your email address on their Homepage. Plus, all players who pre-register can claim a free vehicle once the open beta begins! I expect it will only be an in-game vehicle, but with large maps it’s essential to be able to move quickly!
But before the open beta, there will be more playtests. The first of these starts on August 31 and runs until September 10. Pre-registering for the open beta also means signing up for this playtest. The MetalCore team will email keys to the Epic Games Store for you to download and play. Having more active players should really increase the combat pace of the game!
Interestingly enough, part of the reason for this playtest is that MetalCore will be testing some of the latest tech updates from Immutable, one of their “main” partners. So not only is this a chance to try out a cool game, but it’s also a chance to help advance the web3 gaming space!

What is MetalCore?
Metal core is a web3-enabled game that is a cross between Planetside and Battlefield. It is a first-person/third-person sci-fi themed FPS with numerous vehicles, infantry types and equipment. The game features faction battles, with some battles supporting up to 100 players per side! MetalCore includes vehicle and infantry combat, with a wide variety of combat styles and support options to choose from. Coordination with your teammates and faction members will be important.
During the faction battles, each side tries to take and control different tactical points on the map, while trying to destroy the enemy base. Tactical Points provide in-game advantages to the controlling faction. Each player has a limited number of respawns per battle. Once these respawns run out, that player is no longer allowed to play in that battle, but other players can take their place.
MetalCore includes both PvE and PvP zones. Players earn FAB Tokens while playing the game. This token is used for crafting and upgrades. Players create vehicles in garages and can upgrade and customize them with special skins and decals. MetalCore also supports Baronies or Guilds.
MetalCore will include free-to-play options. They are also implementing a Content Creator program with rewards for streamers and creators. The game is currently in alpha testing.
MetalCore partnered with Immutable X earlier this year, so expect future integrations with the Immutable Passport and marketplace.
