Ripple Donates Another $25,000,000 to Crypto Super PAC Fairshake Ahead of 2024 Elections

Payments platform Ripple is once again donating millions of dollars to a crypto super PAC as the 2024 US elections approach.

According to a new press release, Ripple is doubling its $25 million contribution to Fairshake, a federal super PAC committed to supporting pro-crypto candidates in the elections.

“This investment is in addition to the $25 million Ripple has contributed to Fairshake by 2023. Ripple’s contribution, along with those of other crypto companies and leaders, is part of an industry-wide effort to advance policies that drive the next generation of financial innovation in the field of financial innovation. The United States”

Ripple says that while crypto regulations are currently making their way through the legislative process, the US is falling behind other countries in crypto innovation.

“While Congress is now advancing comprehensive legislation for the crypto industry to secure a promising future for American innovation, competitiveness and growth, the US has fallen behind other responsible countries that promote crypto and the innovative technology that underpins it , have embraced.

Now is the time for the US to act. Ripple is proud to invest in this effort and help shape a positive regulatory landscape in the US.”

By contributing to Fairshake, Ripple hopes to shape the future of digital assets and blockchain technology. As Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse says in the press release:

“Ripple will not, and the crypto industry must not, remain silent while unelected regulators actively seek to hinder the innovation and economic growth enjoyed by millions of Americans. The crypto industry plans to continue investing heavily in these efforts until we see meaningful change.”
