Just 45 minutes after starting distribution, Leonidas announced the successful shipment of four clusters and noted that operations were running smoothly.
Then, 24 hours after launch, the airdrop was only 38.6% complete. Still, it quickly surpassed $3 million (equivalent to 50 BTC) in secondary market volume during this period, making it the best-performing NFT collection of any blockchain in the past day.
Bitcoin storage account holders now have less than 24 hours to secure one of these sought-after assets before time runs out, provided they meet the requirements: own a minimum of three entries from block 826,600 (excluding text or JSON -typing). ‘Cursed inscriptions’ also qualify.
Earlier this month, the weight of these collectibles was further highlighted: Runestone auction took place of the most substantial Bitcoin Ordinals entry based on data size, at 3.97 MB. At the time, it achieved sales of $572,973 (8 BTC).
As the airdrop reaches completion and the inscriptions begin to circulate more widely, the significant impact of this hefty distribution on the overall NFT and web3 spheres is expected to attract continued interest.
