This first dive into the Metaverse for the British Museum comes courtesy of its licensing partner, the Web3 curation platform, La Collection. A high-tech digital agency designed to help some of the world’s largest institutions bridge into the immersive realm of blockchain technology.
For nearly 300 years, the British Museum has showcased the finest treasures from around the world. These include the Rosetta Stone, the Elgin Marbles, the bust of Ramses the Great, cat mummies, and an Aztec two-headed serpent. Thanks to this epic new collaboration, many of the items will now be featured in The Sandbox, allowing history buffs to engage with them like never before!
