Exclusive ‘Mugshot Edition’ offers opened
Available at CollectTrumpCards.com, 100,000 of these new Mugshot trading cards are up for grabs for $99 each. In particular bCustomers who purchase 47 or more in one transaction will receive one of 2,024 limited edition physical cards.
These digital collectibles not only include a mugshot of Trump and a fragment of his suit, but also offer an invitation to dinner with Trump at Mar-a-Lago, with 25 assets also randomly hand-signed by him.
For the first 200 buyers to purchase 100 cryptocurrency cards, an additional exclusive offer awaits: buyers will receive a distinctive NFT, two tickets to a cocktail reception with Trump before dinner at Mar-a-Lago, a second physical card containing pieces of both Trump’s suit and tie and two “Commemorative Dinner” cards.
The evolution of Trump’s digital trading cards
Trump first dipped into the NFT market in December 2022, debuting 45,000 digital trading cards, each priced at $99, depicting himself in various fantasy poses. However, the initial excitement quickly waned, as evidenced by a significant drop in the value of these NFTs. After an impressive sales peak of $3.5 million on December 17, 2022, secondary market sales fell by over 98%, with a notable decline to $59,300 on December 28. Despite criticism and accusations of plagiarism, the floor price remained around $200, double the original offer. .
Undeterred, Trump launched one second NFT collection in April 2023, with the introduction of an additional 47,000 trading cards. This series, which also cost $99, generated approximately $4.6 million in sales, but saw a decline in value, with the floor price falling below the new price. Conversely, this release affected the value of the original series, causing a 61% price drop.
Despite these fluctuations, both collections quickly sold out on its own platform at $99 per card; So it’s not surprising that the ex-president is venturing into a third iteration. Interestingly, these new editions cannot be transferred until December 31, giving collectors until the end of the month before the market determines their true value.
