Traditional gaming according to the Web3 paradigm
First launched in 2017 by indie studio Spiritwalk Games, Shardbound first appeared as a traditional PC game, but initially failed to captivate a large audience.
However, the story changed last March when Bazooka Tango joined Immutable Games and revealed plans to adapt and expand the original game with blockchain technology.
By deploying Immutable zkEVM – an Ethereum scaling network that recently premiered its early access version – the game has been almost completely rebuilt from scratch.
As the limited playtest approaches, both gaming titans exude optimism and ambition to demonstrate how games can effectively leverage the benefits of blockchain technology, especially NFTs.
