What is better: the ‘Visor’ from Immersed or the Vision Pro? (Who cares! Both benefit from the Metaverse)

Full story

DC Comics’ Superman/Batman films of the 80s/90s helped prove the market for blockbuster superhero films.

Then in the early 2000s, Marvel came along and said, “Thanks for warming them up for us, we’ll take it from here.” (???? ‘it’ = most of the profit).

It was a kind of ‘vampire attack’:

‘Do you like ‘Thing A’? We serve you ‘Thing B’, which feels much the same, performs many of the same functions, but is slightly different.”
– Amazement, for consumers.

We just noticed something similar happening with Apple’s Vision Pro, as well SubmergedVisor‘ AR/VR headset…

The Visor has the same 4K resolution displays as Apple, the same multi-screen capabilities and big-screen entertainment features, but is lighter and cheaper (~$950 with pre-order).

This speaks directly to those who say, “Vision Pro is cool, but WAY too expensive” → cuts them out of hearing → and provides them with ‘Thing B.’

(That feels about the same as ‘Thing A’, has a lot of the same features, but it is slightly different – and in this case cheaper).

Here’s why this makes us so excited:

  • The more desirable/affordable VR headsets are, the faster they will be adopted →

  • The more 3D virtual tools/apps/experiences will be developed →

  • The faster ‘the metaverse’ will be realized.
