The Chiru Labs team behind it Azuki and Beanz has teamed up with acclaimed director Gorō Taniguchi to produce an anime anthology series.

Taniguchi, known for works such as “Code Geass” and “One Piece Film: Red,” sees this collaboration as a means to introduce anime to new audiences and provide new opportunities for Japanese anime creators.

Expanding horizons in anime stories

In collaboration with Dentsu – a leading advertising and anime production company in Japan – the project will bring together a strong line-up of industry experts and top talent.

The series will consist of three different stories, each directed and illustrated by different professionals, with the aim of expanding the intellectual property of Azuki anime and leaving a lasting impression on viewers.

This anthology, which will be released later this year, is part of Azuki’s broader strategy to explore different content formats, including short and longer forms, to engage diverse audiences.
