NFT titan Yuga Labs recently announced that Otherside Metaverse is finally releasing its 2D strategy game Legends of the Mara (LoTM) in open beta this month. Get started with the highly reputable Distant gamesuses LoTM Unity to significantly build on the virtual world.
Players will have the exciting opportunity to harness the capabilities of Metaverse’s in-game resources while earning rewards needed to strengthen LoTM’s future. An asset never seen before will come to light for all virtual Land NFT holders, enabling a wider cross-reality universe and creating excitement for all involved.

The journey ahead for LoTM
Over the coming months, the LoTM chapter promises to continue to evolve. As full release approaches, more features will be revealed, adding layers of involvement and complexity to the experience for enticing gameplay. A notable feature is that the Mara NFTs transform into the Metaverse’s powerful new Kodamara allies, allowing players to battle evil entities to defend the Otherside realm.
Similarly, any holder of Otherdeed NFT Land can also acquire a ship, regardless of whether or not they have a Koda on land. Depending on the player’s performance, ships can also transform into a Kodamara. Both Mara and Kodamara characters help greatly in protecting the Other Side. However, it is vital to note that their strengths are not on the same level as the tough Kodas.
Gamers can also harvest more ‘Sediment’ (‘Biogenic Swamp’, ‘Chemical Goo’, ‘Cosmic Dream’ and ‘Infinite Expanse’) which act as levels to dictate the number of workers (Farmer Mara, Kodamara, Koda and Hunter Mara ) that can be mapped on the Metaverse. The more hands on deck, the greater the chance of Hunters and Farmers claiming victory.
